NEWS: Shortstop Trevor Story left Boston’s April 5 game with what appears to be a “significant” left shoulder injury.

BHQ SPIN: Story was set to undergo an MRI on Saturday to determine the extent of the injury, but all the clues thus far — particularly how despondent Story was in speaking to the media after the game — point to Story being sidelined for a while. Boston had already been down one-half of its projected Opening Day double play combination in Vaughn Grissom, though the hope is that Grissom might be ready to begin a rehabilitation assignment next week. Once Grissom returns, the Red Sox will have the option to play him at shortstop and extend the timeshare at second base...
