Messick to provide fireworks on Independence Day slate

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Today's slate abounds with top-flight pitching, as the model has nearly half of the slate with “green” starts, along with strong strikeout totals, as 11 pitchers have strikeout scores of 1.0 or higher.
