DAILY MATCHUPS: Senga aims to slow down Cubs

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: There are 12 games on this Monday, with first pitch coming at 4:10pm ET when the Padres host the Dodgers. Weather could be a factor in a number of games including Nationals-Phillies, Marlins-Reds, Braves-Pirates, and Blue Jays-Guardians. 

 

Notable Starts:

Kodai Senga is set to take on a white-hot Cubs lineup which is averaging 7.1 runs per game since the All-Star break. Finding success against him at Citi Field will prove to be difficult as in 10 home starts this season he owns a 2.40 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 71 K in 56 IP. He is crippling left-handed batters holding them to a .186 BA and .551 OPS.

Pablo López has been in excellent form lately as three of his last five starts have resulted in a PQS-DOM....
