DAILY MATCHUPS: Quintana one of many decision-point lefties on Wednesday

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: The MLB slate is a full one with 15 games. The Dodgers and Mets continue their series at Citi Field; that’s the key game on the final day of August. The Matchup Ratings peg the allotment of starters for this day as being stacked at the top, shaky at the bottom, and mostly thin in the middle. And left-/righty platoon figures will likely loom large in several start/sit decisions. The middle of the bell curve is overflowing with port-siders. Weather-wise, no significant rain appears in the local reports. But keep an eye on some hefty batters’ breezes in a couple games mostly tilted toward fly-ball pitching; those double-digit wind-out games are SEA-DET and KC-CHW.
