While he’s continued to pitch well in a general sense, four of his last 10 appearances have been disappointing. Gausman has struggled with home runs of late, allowing 1.40 HR/9 since mid-July. The Rays have a modest offense against right-handed pitchers, recording a 23.8 percent strikeout rate and 102 wRC+ on the season. They’ve performed particularly well over the last month.
