DAILY MATCHUPS: Framber looks for another quality start vs the Giants

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: We have 16 games on tap today, with a doubleheader scheduled between the Mets and Tigers. There are threats of rain in Detroit and Washington, but for now, they seem like only threats and not postponement risks. Many aces are taking the mound today, but we still have five games with totals over nine, including a total of 12 in Coors.

Framber Valdez takes the mound on Wednesday in an attempt to make it six straight quality starts. He has thrown seven innings in four of those starts and, on the season, has a 2.91 ERA, 3.09 xFIP, with a 24.1% strikeout rate. Valdez takes on the Giants in some day game action, which bodes well, as the Giants are striking out 29.6% of the time versus LHP...
