DAILY MATCHUPS: Cortes to get nasty with the Twins

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: We have 15 games on tap today with no day games, so it will be a whole evening of action on the diamond. The weather is still lovely, with some excellent hitting environments outside of some showers in Cincinnati. There are a lot of excellent matchups to target offensively, meaning we should see a lot of offensive fireworks to start the weekend. 

 

Notable Starts:

Nestor Cortes will be making his third start of the season and is coming off 5.1 innings pitched, where he allowed two runs and struck out five. The line could be better, not great, but the critical thing is Cortes got his pitch count up to 91 pitches. He should be ramped up to 100 pitches now and gets a nice matchup versus a Twins team that...
