ROTISSERIE: Ignore ADP (mostly)

You’ve probably heard this before, but it bears repeating: ADP is flawed. Using ADP as a draft tool, with a couple of exceptions, will lead to suboptimal outcomes. Draft the players you like, not who the market likes.

Why is ADP bad? In a nutshell, anchoring. Anchoring is a cognitive bias where our estimate of a quantity is heavily influenced by a previous or known estimate. One well-known example is a New York restaurant that features a $69 hot dog at the top of their menu. Nobody actually pays that for a hot dog, but it makes the $20 cheeseburger seem cheap by comparison....
