ROTISSERIE: Hitting ‘em where they ain’t pt 2: A Contrarian roster construction strategy

In part one of this series, we described a contrarian roster construction strategy that focuses on hitting or pitching, but strives to maintain competitiveness in the non-emphasized categories. I experimented using two 12-team Draft Champion NFBC teams. This format is a 50-round draft-and-hold league using standard 5x5 rotisserie scoring. Based on a review of 2019 league results I set an overall point target of 94 points with a goal of securing 90% of either the hitting or pitching points plus 40 points in the non-emphasized area. See part one for the details.

In part two we will outline the remainder of the strategy, how it was implemented, and present the results.
