ROTISSERIE: Drafting one-dimensional players in the end game

When it comes to fantasy drafts, most fantasy owners handle the end game in a similar way: they pin their hopes on players with high upside. We are proponents of that tactic, and the gain can be enough to drive a team to a championship.

The high-upside gambit is fine if you are a rebuilding team in a keeper league, or if you are unsure about your position among the other owners. But what if you know you are among the better owners, or you have a team that is a contender? Then having tactical flexibility in the end-game can dwarf the importance of finding the needle in the $1/Round 24 haystack.

We all know that misfortune will strike early and often unless your team is blessed. And the deeper the league, the worse the in-season...
