ROTISSERIE: Advanced rebuilding tips

The goal of rebuilding is quite simple: Get yourself a bunch of good keepers for future years. But just how do you do that? First, review Jock Thompson’s excellent primer on keeper leagues  to determine whether or not you are contending or rebuilding this season. His article also includes his take on rebuilding topics such as prospecting, the DL, and age.

If it seems likely that you’ll be playing for next year, follow a basic Stars-and-Scrubs (S&S) strategy for your keeper league (KL) roto auction:

  1. Draft players with upside at cheap prices. Some of these will pan out and be nice keepers for next year.
  2. Draft a few expensive stars and a few more solid regulars. These studs should be easily tradable for strong keepers at...
