BABS shadow-drafts Tout Wars

Shadow drafting is an exercise you can participate in as a spectator at a fantasy auction. The goal is to assemble your own team from the players you would have been willing to bid $1 more than their actual cost. In other words, if Jacob deGrom is drafted for $20, you would roster him if you were willing to go to $21. (But don’t. Okay, maybe.)

There are two ways to shadow-draft. The easy method is to take final draft results and cherry-pick those players you'd want for $1 more. The more challenging method is to make your bidding decisions at the same time as the draft participants. Timing and draft flow always produce variations in player pricing at different stages.
