The new BABS Master Spreadsheet has been released! Next step…develop a roster plan that achieves the BABS objectives for assets and risk costs. To do so, we must first understand the 2026 player reservoir.

BABS sets ambitious goals for us, as it should…a target of 35 assets for hitters (14 Pw, 7 Sp, 14 Av), or about 2- 1/2 per batter. For the pitchers, the target is 12 assets for starting pitchers (6 Er and 6 K), and at least two RPs with either an (SV: 30 or more saves) or (sv-: between 10 and 29 saves} designation. For liabilities, BABS considers a $30 or below budget in risk costs as exceptional.
