This week’s column is dedicated to those who need to acquire a closer. While owners in 10-team leagues can likely use the waiver wire to acquire saves at many points in the season, owners in deeper formats are much more likely to require the trade route once they fall behind in the saves standings.
Doug Dennis does a great job analyzing bullpens at this site. And wise owners should be regularly reading his work in order to understand which closers are the most likely to lose their jobs and which setup men have the best chance of taking over ninth-inning gigs.
