After losing Kyle Drabek (RHP, TOR) and Brandon Morrow (RHP, TOR) to injuries this week, the Blue Jays' Drew Hutchison left the June 16th game with a sprained right UCL. Hutchison had just started to find his groove, posting PQS 5-5-3 in his prior 3 starts. Who will get the starts for the injured 60% of TOR's rotation?

Up until last week, the theme for this major league season was the oblique injury, with a record setting number of this type of injury already having occurred. We get a reprieve if only for a week or so but I’m sure there are better ways to take our minds off these pesky side injuries. This week three high profile players battle elbow issues and all three eventually could be Tommy John candidates.

With Chris Heisey (OF, CIN) joining Drew Stubbs (OF, CIN) among the hobbled, Wilson Valdez (SS, CIN) made his first career CF start Friday. Starting CF Stubbs has been placed on the DL, retroactive to June 6, with a left oblique strain. Heisey had made eight straight CF starts in Stubbs' absence, but is DTD with a left groin strain that forced him to leave CIN's June 14 game.

As the 2012 minor league season nears the All-Star break for most leagues, we can look back at the preseason Top 100 prospect list and make adjustments. Several players on that list have already reached the majors this season while others are years away from making contributions. Other top prospects are on the cusp of adding value to their respective big league clubs—some may be September call-ups whereas others could get the call any day.
