The Low Investment Mound Aces (LIMA) Plan is a way for you to ignore traditional categories like ERA and WHIP and focus on high-skilled pitchers. This method allows you to target skills without paying high-skill prices, thereby allowing you to spend more of your money on hitters.

Ron Shandler's refresh of the LIMA model suggests that the best LIMA targets are those who are projected to meet the following thresholds:

  • Strikeout rate (K%) of 25% or greater;
  • Walk rate (BB% less than 10%;
  • Home run rate less than 3.5%.
