By taming the Red Sox last weekend with his fourth-straight PQS-5 performance, David Price (LHP, TAM) became the first 12-game winner in the AL. Price “stumbled” a bit in 2011 with a 12-13 record, but he seems to have recovered the form that led to a 19-6 record and second place finish in the Cy Young race in 2010.

After injuries plagued him throughout 2011, Alex Rodriguez (3B, NYY) took drastic steps to improve his health in preparation for the 2012 season. One trip to see Kobe Bryant's doctor in Germany later, Rodriguez has managed to stay in the lineup consistently, but his spotty production has been the real problem...

Vance Worley (RHP, PHI) started strong his rookie season with a sub-3.00 ERA through June. He may have tailed off a bit as summer wore on, but an ERA just over 3.00 set expectations high for his sophomore season. The 24-year-old hasn't disappointed.

Baseball royalty arrived in Detroit this past offseason when Prince Fielder (1B, DET) signed with the Tigers. With a starting gig in the All Star game, Fielder is clearly popular with the fans; he’s certainly added a solid bat to the Tigers’ lineup.

Our April analysis of Jason Heyward (OF, ATL) stated that a change in groundball/flyball ratio was necessary before the 22-year-old outfielder became the power stud that many had projected. Three hundred AB later, check that one off the to-do list.

In spite of rock solid skills, many wondered how Hiroki Kuroda (RHP, NYY) would fare after leaving the NL West for the rough and tumble AL East. Dodger Stadium is certainly more favorable to pitchers than the harsh confines of new Yankee Stadium, but you'd hardly know it looking at Kuroda's seamless transition into his new surroundings.

We may be halfway through 2012. But with the exception of his uniform colors and home ballpark, it seems very much like 2009 to Aaron Hill (2B, ARI). The veteran infielder is having a resurgent season, combining power with a .300 average and flashing some speed.

For whatever reason, it took some time for Mat Latos (RHP, CIN) to gain his bearings in Cincinnati after an off-season trade. As we head towards the second half, his 5.97 ERA and 35 BPV from April are a thing of the past.
