It has been an interesting year. The goal of this column is to keep readers informed and ahead of the curve when it comes to deciding which batters deserve to be trusted, and perhaps more importantly, which do not. The hope is that the analysis provided in this space hits more often than it misses, but analyzing hitters can sometimes be like hitting itself and even Miguel Cabrera makes outs half the time.

Hopefully this column has assisted owners in fielding competitive teams that are currently challenging for league championships down the stretch.
