MINORS: Ranking the prospects from 2020 trade season

Weren’t we supposed to get rid of the August trade deadline? Because of the shortened, late-starting season, the trade deadline was pushed back from July 31st to August 31st this year. With so many playoff spots available this season, there was no way to predict the activity this year. With parity reigning supreme in the National League, there wasn’t as many prospects going from AL organizations to NL organizations. However, in the American League, we saw lots of prospects added to farm systems.

The biggest trade this year was the Mike Clevinger deal. The Indians sent Clevinger, along with Greg Allen and a player to be named later (PTBNL), to the Padres for Josh Naylor, Austin Hedges, Cal Quantrill, Gabriel Arias, Joey Cantillo & Owen...
