Every year, before the season begins, I plot out my scouting coverage around the southeast. Essentially, I anticipate the prospects who will be at a given level at a specific time. I’ve been lucky this season, it’s mostly gone as planned. Except for Brendan McKay, who I missed pitch due to a rainout, I’ve caught up with every other prospect I anticipated scouting and more. Some took longer than others to cover, like Cubs SS Nico Hoerner. Let’s take a look at Hoerner.
Nico Hoerner (SS/CF, CHC)
#4 Cubs Prospect (Double-A)
#46 on HQ50 (Midseason)
Dates Seen: 7/29/19 & 7/30/19

Current Grade: 8B
