MINORS: Evaluating the 8C prospect

The minor league regular season ended just over a week ago. As the editors, staff, and behind-the-scenes folks begin to prep for our two major offseason projects, Ron Shandler’s 2020 Baseball Forecaster and the 2020 Minor League Baseball Analyst, it’s time for our subscribers to prep for the offseason too. Everyone’s different. I skim the league leaders in each league and sort by age, to find gems I may not be considering. I also take inventory of my work, like studying my grasp of our potential rating grading scale and trying to get better at.
Outside of the 6B potential rating I put on Zac Gallen, I’m generally happy with the ratings I slapped on players last offseason. When I started researching for a potential rating article to end...
