The Indians promoted the 25-year-old utility player from Triple-A after designating INF Michael Martínez for assignment. Gonzalez provides plenty of versatility as he can play a number of positions, both infield and outfield. He is a natural shortstop with plus range and instincts while possessing a strong, accurate arm. Unfortunately for him, the presence of Jason Kipnis and Francisco Lindor mute the chance to win significant action in the middle infield. Gonzalez is a decent runner who can steal some bases, but he’s not a burner and doesn’t get on base enough...
