Austin Adams (RHP, CLE)
The 27-year-old Adams is finally getting his chance to pitch in the majors after being in the Cleveland system since 2009. He pitched as a starter in ’10 and ’11 before shifting to a bullpen role in ’13, after shoulder surgery caused Adams to miss all of 2012. One advantage to his time as a starter was that he developed a pretty solid four-pitch repertoire: a fastball with movement that can hit 98 mph, a solid slider and curveball, as well as a change-up that is inconsistent but can keep hitters honest.
