A.J. Pollock (OF, ARI)
After placing Chris Young on the disabled list, the Diamondbacks recalled Pollock from Triple-A. The 24-year-old right-handed hitter is a solid all-around performer with both the bat and glove. He is an athletic and natural hitter who possesses a smooth, level swing. Though he isn't much of a long ball power threat, he has good bat speed and strength to reach the fences on occasion. Pollock hits hard line drives and owns decent speed to tally extra base hits. He stole 36 bases in '11, but mostly due to his above average instincts.
