You see the comment constantly at this time of year:
"Player X can't sustain this hot start. Sell high on him if you can." (2012 example: Derek Lowe)
"Don't be put off by Player Y's slow start. He's a buy low candidate." (2012 example: Troy Tulowitzki)
A number of years ago, some BaseballHQ.com readers caught us making these sorts of comments ourselves, and gave us some pointed feedback: "Does anyone actually play in leagues where you can get a nice return for these early-season flash-in-the-pan guys, or where slow-starting studs are being sold at a significant discount from their pre-season value?"
