GM's OFFICE: A Double Doubleheader Travelogue

I had this one in my sights since sometime in January or February, once the Triple-A clubs published their 2018 schedules with game times. I always take note of the day games on the schedules of the nearby minor league clubs, as those often fit into the rhythm of my season once the games start. There are times in the past when a day/night doubleheader—in two different parks, featuring four teams—has lined up in terms of feasible travel time, as well as affiliates having players that I wanted to see. 

But never had I quite encountered this situation: On July 25 and 26, there were back-to-back days of this day/night configuration, and the parks were only a little over an hour apart—Lehigh Valley (AAA-Phillies) and Scranton Wilkes-Barre...
