DR. HQ: Positional Health Reports—1B/3B

It's that time of year for positional health reports, and here are the first of the season: the corner infield positions. The goal of these reports is to help you prepare for draft day so you know what positions are full of injury potholes (it's been a tough winter this year) and ones that are safe to navigate through.

First Base

Miguel Cabrera (1B, DET)
Risk: Moderate-High
Injury Concern: He underwent surgery on his right ankle late in October. He had bone spurs removed that caused him discomfort most of the second half of the 2014 season. The surgeon also discovered a stress fracture of the navicular bone of the right foot. He needed two screws inserted to help the healing process. This is a weight-bearing bone and a stress fracture...
