PT TOMORROW: NL Central—Is time in rotation ticking for Romano?

Cincinnati Reds

Cincinnati's decision to demote Homer Bailey (RHP, CIN) to the bullpen after his eighth consecutive PQS-DIS start when Anthony DeSclafani (RHP, CIN) rejoined the club’s rotation gave Sal Romano (RHP, CIN) a brief reprieve on his rotation spot. There hasn’t been much in the way of positive news to take away from the 24-year-old’s first 14 starts in 2018. His June 12 start, in which he threw eight innings of one-run ball, was the first time he recorded an out in the seventh inning and just the fourth start out of 14 in which he did not throw a PQS-DIS. Matt Harvey (RHP, CIN) hasn’t done much to impress since joining the club: his SwK remains at just 8%, while he’s given up 7 HR through his first 30.1 IP as a Red.
