Elite prospect Wander Franco (SS, TAM) is expected to open the minor league season at AAA-Durham, putting him just one step away from the major leagues. It will be Franco’s first experience above High-A, and yet it would almost be more of a surprise to many if Franco struggled, given his career .928 OPS in 175 minor league games. 

Given his pedigree, Franco could earn a promotion in a matter of weeks on merit alone. But the drum beats to call him up quickly are only growing louder, given the performance of Willy Adames (SS, TAM) so far this season.
