NL Central: Early offseason storylines

Milwaukee Brewers 

Joey Ortiz (3B, MIL) appeared to be the Brewers’ long-term answer at third base throughout the first half of the season and was among the team’s most productive hitters. However, since returning from neck inflammation just before the All-Star break, he’s managed just a 22 BPV. Notable slips in skill include a lagging ct% (72) and PX (90). He’s remained an everyday player and elite with the glove, which likely sets him up to remain the starter throughout the offseason and into 2025. It isn’t as obvious as it once appeared, though.
