Wheeler shelved by blood clot; Nola steps into Philly rotation

NEWS: The Phillies placed Zack Wheeler on the 15-day IL with an upper extremity blood clot.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: At a minimum, Wheeler is out until early September, but so far Philadelphia has not announced a timeline for his return. That suggests an early September return may be optimistic. For now we have cut his playing time projection to 4%. The Phillies did not announce a corresponding move, but they had previously said that Aaron Nola would be activated for today’s game. As a result of the cut in Wheeler’s projection, we are giving small playing time bumps to the other current members of the Philadelphia rotation as well as to Nola.
