NEWS: San Francisco placed RHP Randy Rodríguez on the 15-day IL with a sprained right elbow and recalled RHP Keaton Winn from the minors.

It’s a disappointing potential end to a breakout campaign that saw Rodríguez elected to the All-Star game. Rodríguez (-1.5% PT) had been serving as the Giants’ closer following the deadline trade of Camilo Doval, so in his absence, Ryan Walker is expected to reclaim the closer role he held to open the season.
