NEWS: San Francisco signed right-handed starter Justin Verlander to a one-year, $15M contract.

BHQ SPIN: Via their second notable offseason transaction, the Giants upgraded their pitching staff with a future Hall-of-Famer. Verlander, 42 in February, has spent 21 years in MLB, securing nine All-Star selections, three Cy Young Awards, two World Series rings, and an MVP Award.
