NEWS: Minnesota optioned SP Simeon Woods Richardson to Triple-A St. Paul; SP Zebby Matthews expected to join rotation.

During his past three starts, he has allowed 10 ER, 15 hits and 4 HR over 13.1 IP to go with 9K / 8 BB. It’s being reported that Matthews (+4%) will join the rotation and start Sunday. Matthews made nine starts for the Twins in 2024, posting a 6.69 ERA. However, there have been reports that his velocity has increased in 2025.
