NEWS: Chicago signed free agent UT Nick Senzel, designated INF Danny Mendick for assignment, designated C Martín Maldonado for assignment, optioned 3B Lenyn Sosa to Triple-A Charlotte, will recall C Chuckie Robinson from Charlotte, and will purchase the contract of INF/OF Brooks Baldwin.

BHQ SPIN: The post-break White Sox will have some new faces. Robinson (+25%) will assume backup duties at catcher. The 29-year-old doesn’t have much experience in the majors (59 AB with CIN in 2022) but the team had tired of Maldonado (.119 BA with 4 HR and 11 RBI).
