NEWS: Arizona reinstated outfielder Jake McCarthy from the bereavement list and demoted outfielder Alek Thomas to the minors.
IMPACT: Low
BHQ SPIN: To make room for the return of McCarthy and to maintain Pavin Smith’s roster spot, Thomas was sent to the minors. He was mired in a one-hit slump across his final 31 plate appearances before being sent down.
