NEWS: 1B/3B Spencer Steer is an everyday player.

BHQ SPIN: As we approach Memorial Day, we have a pretty good idea of how the Reds want to approach lineup decisions. We were initially skeptical about Steer’s (+10%) usage being a product of availability and 1B Joey Votto’s looming return, but both seem less likely as the season progresses. Steer is slashing .285/.353/.478 over 204 PA – he has solidified himself as a top-of-the-order bat for this lineup despite some likely regression coming (.263 xBA, 97 xPX). 2B Jonathan India (+10%) has failed to start precisely one game so far – so we bumped his PT up too. We’ve chipped away at Wil Myers (-5%) due to performance and Jake Fraley (-5%)...
