NEWS: Chicago agreed to terms with RHP Michael Fulmer on an undisclosed contract.

BHQ SPIN: Fulmer joins a Chicago bullpen that will enter spring training without a clear favorite for saves. The veteran right-hander will likely begin the year in the late-inning mix, with a chance to either earn the closer job outright or be part of a closer committee. We are currently projecting Fulmer for a 30% save share, tied with Brandon Hughes for the highest on the team. Hughes earned the most saves for the Cubs over the last two months of 2022 but could be used more as a matchup play against left-handers anywhere from the 7th-9th inning as the team’s only projected lefty in the pen.
