Updating a previous report, New York Yankees DH Alex Rodriguez (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring Wednesday, May 4.  Source: MLB.com
 
BHQ take: Per manager Joe Girardi, the Yankees have chosen (for now) to go with a 13-man pitching staff and a three-man bench in Rodriguez's absence, so the primary playing time beneficiaries will be Dustin Ackley and Aaron Hicks, while several players will be cycled through the DH slot. Carlos Beltrán got the first DH assignment on May 4, and he will likely be the Yankee most often in that...
