NEWS: The Padres reinstated 2B Xander Bogaerts from the 10-day IL and optioned C Brett Sullivan to Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: Bogaerts, who missed close to two months with a broken shoulder, returned to the Padres lineup on Friday, July 12 and got the start at 2B. He should slot back into his everyday role at 2B (75%), but may get the occasional day off or start at DH (+5%) as he ramps back up heading into the last couple months of the season. With all their regular infielders now healthy, IF Donovan Solano, who has alternated at 3B or DH with 3B Manny Machado almost every day in the last few weeks, will likely lose the most playing time.
