Oblique epidemic spreads to Tampa's Lowe

NEWS: The Tampa Bay Rays have placed OF Josh Lowe on the injured list with a Grade 2 oblique strain.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: According to the Tampa Bay Times, the injury is “slightly worse than last season’s oblique injury that sidelined him for about seven weeks.” If that prognosis bears out, it may be June or at least late May before we see Lowe on the field again. The Rays were already dealing with the loss of Richie Palacios, who was placed on the 10-day IL, retroactive to March 24, with a small break in his right ring finger suffered during a March 19 fielding drill. Palacios is eligible to return April 3, and neither he nor manager Kevin Cash expect him to miss much if any time beyond that. But...
