Cole eyes home start against Baltimore

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Nine games are on the docket for the final Thursday of the regular season. A 10th game, NYM at ATL, had been on the slate, but that tilt was postponed early and rescheduled for Monday. Rain could also impact the BAL-NYY contest in the Bronx. Matchup ratings for the day—two of the top choices would have been going in the NYM-ATL game—figure to be at an ebb point for the week. This final Thursday has the look of a slate to manage, not conquer.

Gerrit Cole has cranked out a trio of PQS-5s over his last four starts (the other start was a rough outing against BOS two starts back). He's held opposing batters to a tidy .535 OPS since Aug. 4. Cole is facing BAL in a turn at Yankee Stadium....
