CHASING THE 2016 NFBC: Did the cavalry arrive in time?

With the All Star game and ceremonial mid-season point of the baseball season taking place this past week, it's a good time to assess where we are, how we got there, and where we can go from here.  Unfortunately as we enter baseball's 2nd half, we find our Glenneration X / Baseball HQ Main Event entry mired with only 70 league points in 9th place out of 15 in league and 320th out of 450 overall.  How did we get there?
