With major league players consistently becoming more focused on a homer-heavy, strikeout-prone approach at the dish, the five-category fantasy stud is now a rare breed. In fact, while most owners would not covet a player with eight homers, 27 RBIs, 26 runs scored, five steals, and a .283 average in late May, those are the statistics that would meet the requirements for sitting inside the Top 50 players in all five standard categories. And although speedsters and sluggers can definitely belong among the top overall assets, wise owners should be aware of the players who are providing across-the-board production.
