There are many interesting new avenues for strategy in the one-month format, from playing the MLB schedule to playing off of aberrant previous month performances. They say the season is a marathon, not a sprint, but it's intriguing how many short-term tactics can be played during the course of that marathon.
Each month has its own personality as well. For August, we are faced with the locking in of player salaries before the MLB trading deadline. The moving of players coming up on this afternoon's deadline potentially shifts roles and opportunities, and possibly the potential for hidden profit.
