It may sound bizarre, but one of the most gratifying things I like to see on this site is when a forum thread has a title like, "Why Shandler is Dead Wrong." This tells me one of three things:
1. I messed up somewhere. That's okay; learning experiences are good things.
2. I wasn't clear on a point of view I was trying to put across. That's okay; it's an opportunity for me to come back and make sure my point is understood better.
3. Right or wrong, something I wrote struck a nerve and generated some discussion. That's always a good thing.
In fact, three forum threads (this one, this one and this one) took life after my March 31 column, and are still generating posts two weeks later. The problem is, the major points I had...
