In fantasy baseball analysis, it is often said that you should “play to your strengths.” If you’ve got a knack for finding breakout starting pitchers late in drafts, for example, you should capitalize on that strength by prioritizing hitters in the early rounds. This is good advice. Fantasy baseball is ultimately a game of resource-utilization – it’s about getting more stats from a limited set of resources (e.g. draft picks/auction dollars, FAAB budget, lineup spots) than your competitors.
