As many of you know, I find the process of blind FAAB bidding a frustratingly inefficient method of in-season talent acquisition.
Maybe it's me, but every time I hear someone say that there is some science to setting optimal bids, I have to roll my eyes. I can't imagine how it's possible to read the minds of 11 other owners and figure out exactly how much to bid. I can't come to terms with the massive amount of waste created by overbids. The Vickrey Method fixes the latter problem, but has faced stiff opposition to adoption in all but a few leagues. As for the mind-reading challenge, George Vickrey never figured out that part.
