I admit it. The 10-year-old in me couldn't resist. I had to go to see the new Three Stooges movie.

I guess my taste in slapstick comedy has changed a bit in 40-plus years.
But the funniest part of the whole film, for me anyway, was what happened after it was over. Just before the credits ran, the Farrelly brothers came on and conducted a P.S.A. for all the 10-year-olds in the audience. They showed us how the hammers were made of rubber, how the eye-pokes were really forehead-pokes, and how nifty sound effects made it sound so real. And then the admonishment: "So don't try this at home."
I was shocked. A disclaimer for the Three Stooges?
