I'm now hosting an online chat every Wednesday at 11:00AM EDT at USAToday.com. Each week's link is available the morning of the event at BaseballHQ.com.
This week, I received the following question: "Ron, Our league still drafts by the archaic "must be on opening day roster" program. Any idea where we can get these opening day rosters?"
Those are archaic rules. It is tough to find a definitive list these days because rosters are fluid. Yes, major league teams had to get their rosters down to 25 men by Opening Day, but that specific group of 750 players was different within hours. Players hit the DL, 5th starters aren't needed for a week, players on bereavement leave... all of these make that 25-man limit a very fuzzy...
Almost!
